challenges
The project involved addressing multiple design considerations to enhance functionality and user experience. Selecting the ideal nozzle size was critical to ensuring precise and efficient product flow. Incorporating a scraper into the packaging design posed the challenge of adding convenience for removing excess material while minimizing waste. Achieving an ergonomic design was another priority, aiming to enhance comfort and accessibility for users. Additionally, for heavier products, the task included designing a chain of blister packs with perforations to allow easy separation of individual units while maintaining structural integrity and durability.
solution
The innovative design, which won the prestigious India Star Award for excellence in packaging, was developed with a focus on user-friendliness to ensure seamless operation without the need for a learning curve. Through an iterative process of trial and error, an efficient nozzle and scraper were created to perform effectively across various usage scenarios. The tube was designed with ergonomics and squeezability in mind for ease of use, while the secondary packaging was thoughtfully crafted to adapt to diverse retail environments.
